The MagSafe 2 Power Adapter (85W) has a magnetic DC connector that disconnects harmlessly if the cord is tripped over, keeping your MacBook Pro safe. It also helps prevent cable fraying and guides the plug for a secure connection.
 
An LED at the DC connector's head lights up to indicate charging status with an amber light for charging and a green light for full charge. An AC cord is included for maximum length, and an AC wall adapter is also provided for easier travel.
 
The adapter's design allows the DC cable to be neatly wound around itself for easy storage. It can recharge the lithium polymer battery while the system is off, on, or in sleep mode and can power the system without a battery. Compatible with MacBook Pro with Retina display.
