The MagSafe Power Adapter has a magnetic DC connector that prevents cable damage and aids secure connection.
 
Once the connection is secure, the LED located at the DC connector's head will light up to indicate the charging status. An amber light signals that the portable is charging, while a green light indicates a full charge. The adapter comes with an AC cord for maximum cord length and an AC wall adapter for even more convenience while traveling.
 
The power adapter is intended to be an excellent travel partner, with a smart design that enables the DC cable to be neatly wound around for simple cable storage. It can charge the lithium polymer battery in off, on, or sleep mode and can even power the system when a battery is not present.
